Using the recipes developed for the Salt-Free Canada Recipe Challenge, we created a cookbook to make salt-free cooking that much more accessible! The book features recipes from culinary and food preparation students from all across Canada who have accepted the challenge of seasoning their dishes without the use of salt. Learn more about why salt-free options need to be more accessible, and enjoy some delicious food!
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the The Kidney Foundation of Canada, who represent chronic illnesses that require sodium-free diets.
To make Salt-Free learning that much more accessible, we are offering 3 editions of UNSALTED. E-Book, softcover, and hardcover copies are now available for purchase! Click the links below to order your copy. French translations are now available!

This cookbook is a great initiative. Flavour comes from a variety of ingredients and many of these recipes show us that dishes can be and are awesome without salt.
I come from a family of seven and live on a farm on top of the Escarpment. I really appreciate what this recipe book is trying to accomplish. Giving those people who have dietary restrictions more options and more nutritious options. Farm to table is really important to me and I am glad that I could participate in this endeavour.
